Drew Applefield, PhD
Analyst
Dr. Applefield joined LTR in 2006, as a biotechnology, drug, and devices analyst. In addition to having a strong quantitative background, and deep understanding of fundamental value drivers, he brings a wealth of pre-clinical and basic science knowledge to assist in the identification and valuation of assets originating from platform technologies and tools.
Between 1999 and 2006, Dr. Applefield pursued his PhD in Biophysics and Biophysical Chemistry at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, with a dissertation entitled “The Kinetic and Thermodynamic Effects of Factors Involved in Eukaryotic Translation Initiation.” Prior to Hopkins, he obtained his BS in Biology with a minor in chemistry at Guilford College, where he was an Honors Scholar.
